GRAFTON: Close your eyes. Envision what it would look like if the world’s greatest achievements and inventions were collected in one place. In 1893, this vision was realized at the Chicago World’s Fair. Come take a trip back in time with Patricia Perry of Sneak Peek Productions as the Grafton Historical Society transports you to a world of wonder filled with light, treasures and forbidden delights.

The Grafton Historical Society welcomes back historical interpreter Patricia Perry as she debuts her newest program, "The Greatest Show On Earth," on Wednesday evening, September 14th at 7:00 PM at the Brigham Hill Community Barn, 37 Wheeler Road in North Grafton.

The 1893 Chicago World's Fair celebrated the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' landing in North America. The World's fair was visited by 26 million people over a six month period and railroad tourist packages to the fair in Chicago were a popular means of traveling to the fair.

“We’re excited to have Pat Perry back with us here in Grafton,” noted Grafton Historical Society President Linda Casey. “Pat’s unique way of interpreting history has been an audience favorite and we’re looking forward to her newest presentation about a railroad trip to the Chicago World’s Fair.”

Tickets for the Wednesday, September 14th performance at the Brigham Hill Community Barn are $5.00 for historical society members and $8.00 for non members. They may be obtained by mail directed to the Historical Society's offices at One Grafton Common, Grafton, MA. 01519. A limited number of tickets will also be available on the night of the performance - Wednesday, September 14th.
